My artistic search corresponds to an everyday interpellation with moments and their mysteries, which are often hidden behind the subtlest actions, the imperceptible ones. It is through the observation of my own existence that I am able to find connections that travel through people, objects and spaces. Small gestures –at a first glance unimportant– hide a vertiginous depth and a transformation potential for our own interior, as well as the matter that surrounds us. Every moment is an infinite universe of possibilities.
These are the moments that I try to suspend in my paintings. Hunting for them in my everyday brings me to a state of constant attention, identifying symbolic fragments of irrelevant beauty; in whose details we can suspect the ecstasy of existence. It is my intuition that guides my to discover them, leaving aside any pretension of exalting my own reality.
Painting as a material allows me to intervene the canvases with a temperature that corresponds to my memories; moments that belong now to my own subjectivity and that are not always loyal to the common reality of all. It allows me to generate movement –abstraction, irresolute actions– unfolding this memory to whoever looks at it, opening the door to the exploration of their own emotions that can be linked to the scene.
Mi búsqueda como artista corresponde a una interpelación cotidiana con los momentos y sus misterios que se esconden en las acciones más sutiles, más imperceptibles. Es mediante la observación de mi propia existencia en que voy encontrando conexiones que viajan a través de personas, de objetos y espacios. Pequeños gestos, a primera vista sin importancia, resguardan una profundidad vertiginosa y el potencial de transformación tanto en el interior de nosotros mismos, como en la materia que nos rodea. Cada momento es un universo infinito de posibilidades.
Son estos los encuentros que intento suspender en mis pinturas. La búsqueda de ellos en mi día a día me dispone en un estado de constante atención, intentando identificar pequeños fragmentos simbólicos de belleza irrelevante, pero que en sus detalles sospeche el éxtasis del existir. Es mi intuición la que me guía a encontrarlos, dejando de lado las pretensiones de engrandecer mi propia realidad.
La pintura como soporte me permite crear atmósferas con una temperatura que corresponde a la de mis recuerdos; momentos que ya pertenecen a mi subjetividad y no siempre son fieles a la realidad común de todos. A través de este material genero movimiento –abstracción, acciones irresolutas– desenvolviendo el recuerdo a quien lo mire, abriendo la puerta a la exploración de sus propias emociones vinculadas en las escenas.
