Paula Ceroni
Paula Ceroni performs a meticulous and delicate work where each fiber explores the effect on the vibration of color and the resonance and tension that produces the use of textile in the composition of geometric shapes. Her technique consists in the unraveling of fabric where the threads slowly and carefully reveal the silhouettes as if they had always been there. Therefore, the act of unraveling is an act of discovering what already existed.
The artist explores different techniques such as textile art, photography, painting, video and installations. Ceroni aims to highlight human relationships, identity and ancestral traditions in Latin American textiles and the echo that color and form produce in the pieces. The artist establishes a dialogue with the viewer, inviting them to physically connect with the art.
Paula Ceroni realiza un trabajo minucioso y delicado donde cada fibra explora los efecto en la vibración del color y la resonancia y tensión que produce el uso del textil en la composición de las formas geométricas. Su técnica consiste en el deshilado de tela en donde los hilos, lenta y cuidadosamente van revelando las siluetas como si estas hubiesen estado siempre ahí. Por ende, el acto de deshilar es un acto de descubrir lo que ya existía.
La artista explora diferentes técnicas tal como el arte textil, la fotografia, pintura, videos e instalaciones. Ceroni tiene por objetivo relevar las relaciones humanas, la identidad y tradiciones ancestrales en el textil latinoamericano y el eco que se producen el color y forma en las piezas. La artista establece un diálogo con el espectador, invitando a conectarse físicamente con el arte.
