This investigation around photography has been based on a system of technical and material restrictions, where the optical exercise is transformed into the axis that articulates and regulates the coherence of the final project, meaning that it is based on the photographic structure of the original image. It is in this sense that I have established a system of restrictions for the use of color, in which the limited palettes of dyed thistles, color pencils or embroidery threads, allow me to use this procedure as an orthopedic system for the construction of images.
According to this, a chromatic organization based on the distortions of the light generated by the digital photography transferred to the computer screen settles down, distortions that are the chromatic reference of the image. These construction strategies include operations of transference of photographic images towards other materialities, including procedures related to displacements of drawing, painting and engraving. The use of the photography is given not only to create mechanical images from the coherence of its contained optical structure, but indeed in revealing the technical procedure of the process of work. One could say that it is an inverse relation for the use of optical instruments, since in this case the intention is not based on its power of attendance in the creation of images the nearest possible to reality, but indeed in revealing the construction process of my work.
Esta investigación en torno a la fotografía se ha basado en un sistema de restricciones técnicas y materiales, donde el ejercicio óptico se transforma en el eje que articula y regula la coherencia del proyecto final, lo que significa que se basa en la estructura fotográfica de la imagen original. Es en este sentido que he establecido un sistema de restricciones para el uso del color, en el cual las paletas limitadas de cardos teñidos, lápices de colores o hilos de bordar, me permiten usar este procedimiento como un sistema ortopédico para la construcción de imágenes.
De acuerdo con esto, se establece una organización cromática basada en las distorsiones de la luz generada por la fotografía digital transferida a la pantalla de la computadora, distorsiones que son la referencia cromática de la imagen. Estas estrategias de construcción incluyen operaciones de transferencia de imágenes fotográficas hacia otras materialidades, incluidos los procedimientos relacionados con los desplazamientos de dibujo, pintura y grabado. El uso de la fotografía se da no solo para crear imágenes mecánicas a partir de la coherencia de su estructura óptica contenida, sino también para revelar el procedimiento técnico del proceso de trabajo. Se podría decir que es una relación inversa para el uso de instrumentos ópticos, ya que en este caso la intención no se basa en su poder de asistencia en la creación de imágenes lo más cercano posible a la realidad, sino en revelar el proceso de construcción de mi trabajo.
