In my work, I have the intention to manifest through my own imaginary, concepts asociated with memory, gender normative, gender roles and their lively contradictions.
I use plasticine as a médium where my work can move from the volumetric to the pictorial and installatory. I use a material that is associated with working techniques related to the volumetric production to paint. My work is built through photography and digital collage, that is reconstructed with small units of colored plasticine. The resulting image is a textured surface of modeling clay.
My work arises from a dialogue between the material and the ideas. A material traditionally associated with crafts, children, the precarious and the disposable. A substance connected to the collective memory.
En mi trabajo tengo la intención de manifestar a través de mi imaginario conceptos asociados a la memoria, la género-normatividad, los roles de género y sus contrasentidos.
Hago uso de la plasticina como un medio donde me desplazo desde lo volumétrico a lo pictórico e instalatorio. Utilizo un material que se asocia a técnicas de trabajo ligadas a la producción volumétrica para pintar. Mi obra se construye por medio de la fotografía y/o del collage digital, que luego traduzco a pequeñas unidades de color con las que construyo una superficie texturada de plasticina.
Mi trabajo surge de un diálogo entre el material y las ideas. Un material tradicionalmente asociado a las manualidades, a lo infantil, precario y desechable. Una sustancia conectada a la memoria colectiva.
