Harald Hauswald
Harald Hauswald was born in Radebeul in 1954.
In 1977, he was admitted to the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR (VBK). His interest in social issues, coupled with his artistic ambition, quickly made him one of the most important photographers in the East. He was the first photographer from the GDR to publish photo reports under a pseudonym in Western magazines such as GEO, Zeitmagazin and Taz. Harald Hauswald has been awarded the Federal Cross of Merit and has become a prestigious German photographer with more than 250 solo exhibitions throughout Germany, the United States, France, Italy and the Netherlands, as well as various publications on the subject of East Berlin. His images from the pre-reunification era have significantly influenced the image of the GDR and memories of East Berlin.
Harald Hauswald nació en 1954 en Radebeul.
En 1977 fue admitido en la Asociación de Artistas Plásticos de la RDA (VBK). Su interés por los temas sociales, junto con su ambición artística, le convirtieron en muy poco tiempo en uno de los fotógrafos más importantes del Este. Fue el primer fotógrafo de la RDA en publicar reportajes fotográficos bajo seudónimo en revistas occidentales como GEO, Zeitmagazin o Taz.
